William Morris said, “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”
That’s worth thinking about… don’t you think? To only surround ourselves with what is beautiful and useful?
How different would your home be if that were true for you? If everything in your home was useful and beautiful to you? What if you were free of emotional, mental and physical clutter? What would you do? How would you feel?
You’d enjoy your home, your family, and your life more. You’d be able to have people over, without doing a mad dash around the house and shoving everything under the bed!
Your family would be happier. You’ll have more peace and joy in your life. You’ll have more time for the fun things. The things you enjoy doing but just don’t have time for.
Have only beautiful and useful things around you
I believe clutter in our environment plays a big part in how cluttered our mind gets, but I also think for some of us, that things like depression for instance (and I’m talking from my own experience), make it hard for us to be motivated. But we must start somewhere, if we don’t nothing will change, and we must change something – for change to take place.
